Remix as a promise for social life 2.0

RiP: A Remix Manifesto from Laurent LaSalle on Vimeo.

What have we actually lost in the process of dividing culture and ideas into “mine” and “yours”? Can we fight back cultural expression as a way to communicate with each other, as a way to talk,  love, hate, criticize, explain reality? It all depends on us now.

Urban environment was a first example of collaboration that brought more effectiveness into everything we do. The Internet made the world into one city. What ideas of urban development could be used to shape intellectual property policy? At the same time, what ideas of remix and sharing can be brought back into the cities?

Happy watching. The movie is really worth it :)
