Essay Studio Rotterdam: Public space marketing and city branding

Rotterdam contains a large amount of diverse images forming a collage of the New Dutch city. The brands that the city carries have been contrasted with the prime images of the past history. The balance between structure and image of the city texture is non-consistent and criticism on the differently highlighted branding aspects collides with the strategies. However, it is important to grasp the genesis of the Rotterdam image in order to understand its form.
