Clearing Illegal Gypsy Camps (BBC Documentary) shows an impressive and emotionally loaded operation with a budget of 18 mil. pounds.  Personally, quite a dose of mixed feelings for me. It is hard to totally agree or disagree with any of the positions, be it local council, the “travelers” (although I would rather call them squatters),  the almost pathologically nervous neighbour or professional hipster activists. However it is hard to stay indifferent to this clash not raising a question, whether it is really impossible to have a cheaper and less weepy solution. The common sense is anyway strongly missing somewhere.
